TORI FERNANDEZ

Owner and Tattoo Artist

Victoria “Tori” Fernandez was born and raised a Cuban-American artist in Miami, FL where she began her lifelong passion for art. Later in life, pursuing a more traditional career per a Summa Cum Laude High school graduate, she attended Florida International University majoring in Mechanical Engineering (and later Electrical Engineering). Three years into a successful academic career, feeling whole heartedly unchallenged she decided to pursue a tattoo apprenticeship thereafter. Tori has been tattooing full time now (post-apprenticeship) for over six years (since August 2013). Today, she specializes in black and grey and color realism, with an emphasis on human and animal portraiture, skulls, flora and cinematic imagery. Her current deepest artistic influences lie within the Italian Renaissance movement. Fellow painters and craftsman throughout the years continue to inspire her and led to the following of her second life passion, fine art painting. In her eyes, tattooing represents the ability for one to introduce a new (now permanent) part of this person (the client) to themselves that would now change how they see themselves for the better! Tattooing really gives her the chance to give a client something other than actual product, it gives her a chance to be a part of this person’s life; and to be that person who turns thepage into a new chapter of their life and give them a riveting piece of artwork to wear on themselves as an indictor of such. With her academic background along with a constant underlying strive for knowledge, she has spent the last few years her career perfecting her internal methods as well as continuing to treat any future and current clients with respect and guidance. Black Honey Tattoo Collective is a cumulation of the experiences and knowledge from her lifetime: technical, mathematical and artistic, applied to one entity and representative to the new and refined era of tattooing.

JAQUELYN PUMA

Tattoo Artist

Since childhood, Jaquelyn Puma, aka JPUMA, has been an artist depicting her deepest, most complex inner world.  Originally from just outside of New York City, Jaquelyn graduated from an all-girls high school to study at Pratt, FIT, and Pace University and completed with a Bachelor of Fine Arts with a minor in Fashion. She has explored a gamut of mediums including graphite, block print, acrylic, watercolor, India ink, pastel, charcoal, colored pencil, spray paint, and marker. She then relocated to Fort Lauderdale where she began modeling and a freelance art career, primarily beginning with murals. After an apprenticeship, she officially began her tattoo career in 2019 and has been working as a sought-after artist since.

Jaquelyn’s massive art collective includes portraits that are peppered with psychedelic and chaotic stardust, as well as a wide variety of subjects that have a pop / street / splatter / graffiti finish. Jaquelyn’s art extends from the cavernous confines of her soul, revealing an obsession with control, power, and her relentless desire to maintain balance against the storm and connect with her inner child.

Jaquelyn’s tattoo career focus is primarily black and grey work, pointillism, and her fascination with illustrative line work. She enjoys traveling and bringing her talent of tattooing all over the world.

In her spare time, Jaquelyn likes to do her hair and make up, take photos with her photographer, and expand her POKEMON collection.

jOEL jOSSELYN

Tattoo Artist

From a young age jOEL found a solace in art. Compelled from the pages of marvel comics HE poured over, jOEL dared to begin his life in art, by spawning unique comic Characters and comics.  With his illustrative skill, he drew up baseball cards for local little league teams as well. Along his artistic path, joel took a liking to architectural design. His parents had built two houses in his childhood, which would later inspire him to create his own homes. He'd go on to fully decorate the house  out right out of the sears catalog (dating himself with that reference).  Throughout his life, he excelled at both art and architecture, leading him to pursue it on a collegiate level. However,  the politics of academia soured his love for it and it was then he knew that path wasn't for him.

Giving thanks to Madonna IN HER EARLY 2000'S ERA,  ADORNING her hands with mendi henna designs (that only stayed in the skin for two weeks), jOEL BEGAN HIS PATH IN SKIN ART.  just so happening to grab a book, AND  drew a dragon design onto another piece of paper, A LOCAL BUSINESS OWNER CAUGHT EYE OF jOEL'S DESIGN WORK.  threw HIM all the left over henna he had, and told HIM had a job for the summer up in ptown AS A HENNA ARTIST.

that WAS WHEN JOEL TRULY DISCOVERED AND HONED IN ON HIS EXTENSIVE SKILL OF DRAWING HIS (WHAT WOULD BECOME TATTOO DESIGNS) on the skin. As I HE progressed HIS designs got LARGER AND MORE ELABORATE, WHICH EVEN LED TO friends using HIS art as the lining for their tattoos. wITH THE SUPPORT (AND AS LITTLE PUSH) FROM FRIENDS, jOEL eventually found HIS niche STYLE; AND APPRETICED FOR THE FEW YEARS AFTER WITH sTEVIE MOON.  following HIS FORMAL APPRENTICESHIP, jOEL CONTINUED TO WORK AT ink addiction WHERE HE honed IN ON HIS SKILL IN HIS CRAFT over the years. hE HAS CROSSED PATHS AND CONTINUES TO BE INSPIRED BY artistS FROM ALL OVER,  learning from each and everyone of them all the way to THIS present DAY. jOEL IS so happy with HIS MOST RECENT ARTISTIC decision to move to Black honey where HE FEELS all OUR artists are LAID BACK, happy, talented individuals, POURING INTO HIS ADMIRATION FOR THIS CRAFT, AND LIFTING HIM INTO HIS CURRENT ARTISTIC FLOW!
